Without thinking to fill this page! Write the first 10 things that the head in response to this sentence:? I love (my partner? Name) because. . . ? Put this piece of paper aside. 2.Now? how about you? What to do in this union? What promises do? Take another sheet of paper and write? down? Don? t worry about spelling, grammar, or anything else at this point. Just after write 4-5 things you want to promise that special person with whom you want to spend your life. ? It promises to be even in times as well? ? Promise to be faithful to your body and your mind and heart? ? They promise to support your partner, even if he / she is not? t perfect? ? They promise to all resources? Some? ? What if he / she is sick? What will happen if you have a serious fight? You get the idea. . . What are you promising in this union? 3.Think on language to use to make your partner, and the name of your report. If you take your beloved, who use words? Husband? Wife? Wife? Partners for Life? What does the power each of these for you? If not? T as for some reason, throw it out. . . but before you start writing you vows, decide. . . What language is used? This is a decision you need to get together. . . so early, and the more time it takes. 4.OK after? Ve made 1-3, and have at least two pages of writing and made a decision? set all the party. Do something else, preferably with your partner, and preferably fun. Like Christmas trees, too many marriages? Stuff? depended on it, make nice with the addition of stress for a day or two. Go and remember why you love. . . go and play. 5.Done this? Now it's time for a BIG DECISION. If the person you wish to write their own vows, or are the two of you will say the same thing? Not? T have, you know? some of the most beautiful ceremonies I? ve celebrated each partner had to say something else. . . But here? S a trick: if? Re create all their votes, why not a sentence at the end symbolizing the fact that a single set, as people, and without waiving its individuality, you create a beautiful union shared. Here? And an example of words each partner can use to his one vote: John, I accept as my husband. The Tracy, hug, Susan, as my companion for life. 6.It? S time to go back to documents you've written in steps 1 and 2 If you? Working together, you? Ll enjoy sharing sites, to whom, and see where they overlap. . . Use colored pencils or high-liter to raise what you have in common? and these promises and declarations of love just leap from the page. 7.Now, if you? Working alone or in pairs, it is time to priorities. The desire for language to say, okay, if I cut two of these promises from the list, what will it be? A snack lists, the elimination of things that only a little 'less juicy, and you? left again, with three or four things you love. . . and about the same number of things you promise. 8.Copy about this brand on a new, clean page. (E 'amazing what a difference a sheet of paper can I do? Trust me on this!) 9.One question. . . This is a wedding, a celebration of your union, presumably for life. Your votes over a longer period of time? Some couples use phrase like:? Through all the years, and in all that life can bring us. . . ? ? For the rest of my days? ? As long as there is alive? ? Life partners. ? Partners forever. Whatever works for you, a marriage or union service reviews should be a sentence that the term of your commitment. (If you? Ve come so far, I hope you? Ve decided to promise your commitment for life). 10.Read your vote of confidence, as someone other than the partner. E 'sound like you? How does it feel to say these words aloud? It has everything you said? D embarrassed to say in public? The language-tangles there? (It 'amazing how seemingly simple phrases tu complex when it is time to speak!) Take all the minor changes you need and then stop. You feel good, you? Ve done? for creating one the greatest gift you can ever do. Blessings on you and your union ~ Rev. Dr. M.
